ANF foils heroin smuggling bid at Islamabad airport

RAWALPINDI   -   A bid to smuggle heroin to Bahrain was foiled at the New Islamabad International Airport on Tuesday and the passenger was arrested by the Anti Narcotics Force. A passenger namely Ali Mat Khan, a resident of Landi Kotal, was attempting to smuggle 4200 grams of the narcotic substance via Gulf Airline when he was detained by the Anti-Narcotics Force. The heroin was concealed by the smuggler in bottom of his bag.  He was shifted by the ANF for further investigation and his luggage was confiscated as evidence. A criminal case has also been registered against the suspected smuggler with ANF Police Station under CNS Act 1979 while further investigation was on, according to sources.
