LAHORE - Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq has said the government has weakened the institutions and failed to introduce good governance. Addressing a meeting of the JI central leadership at Mansoora on Tuesday, he said had the ruling party paid attention to governance and tried to introduce reforms in different sectors, the situation would have been different.  The Masses were desperate and disappointed due to skyrocketing inflation and unemployment, he said, adding the ruling elite had nothing to do with the problems of the common man. The JI chief condemned the placement of JI Balochistan Secretary General Maulana Hydatur Rahman on the list of fourth schedule by the government and said Maulana Rahman was the voice of people of Gwadar. He said the JI leader was raising the issues being faced by the people of the area. He said the fishermen of the area were protesting for their rights and the rulers must address their issues. He said the government should provide clean drinking water, build schools and hospitals to facilitate the local community.
