We are not dictators: PM

Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that strengthening of institutions is the true essence of democracy adding that we are not dictators but democracy lovers. Addressing Parliamentarians and important city representatives in Multan on Monday, PM said that all parliamentarians should help the flood affectees in their respective areas. He said that floods caused worst devastations ever witnessed in the history. He said that all political parties should unite to help the flood affectees in their hour of need. He said that he is grateful to national and international community for their help. PM said that he always strives to take the opposition along. We can achieve so much if all the political parties unite. He said we are not dictators but democratic lovers. Prime Minister went on to say that we want to strengthen the supremacy of the constitution stressing strengthening of institutions is the true essence of democracy adding that we are not dictators but want to flourish democracy in the country thick and thin. "We want to continue the unfinished goals of Shaheed ZB and BB as PPP believes in policy of reconciliation and not vengeance", he pointed. PPP is a symbol of federation and its roots spread in all the four provinces, PM maintained. 73 Constitution is a symbol of peace in country, he emphasized. He further added that PPP is full of sacrifices adding we want to serve masses with the core of our heart.
