TARBELA GHAZI - Solar energy system has been installed in five hospitals situated in far-flung areas of district Haripur.

According to the details solar energy system has been installed in the five rural health centres (RHCs) with a total cost of Rs 2.8 million situated in remote and far-flung areas of district Haripur.

The rural health centres included RHC Kalanjar, RHC Sarikote, RHC Kot Najib Ullah, RHC Rehana and RHC Nara Amazi.

Aim behind the installation of Solar Energy System in these Rural Health Centres was to sustain cold chain for vaccine during the load shedding hours and power shutdown due to any reason.

A departmental inspection team also visited these RHCs two days earlier and termed the installed systems satisfactory after their inspection.

Installation of solar energy system will keep the different sorts of vaccines safe and useful in these RHCs for a long time and also help to reduce the electricity expenses.
