Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Shah has said that he hoped the government would relieve the burden on the people of Pakistan’s shoulders in its new mini-budget.

While talking to media on Thursday, the PPP stalwart and former leader of the opposition in the National Assembly expressed hope that the government will provide some relief to the general public and heavy taxes will not be imposed on the people in the government’s mini-budget.

Shah said, “If 3 dams are constructed then the country’s economic condition will become vibrant.” The PPP leader also said that the public would be able to get low-priced electricity and agricultural situation of the country will also get better.

He also said that the total cost of dams is Rs 1,600 billion and they could not be constructed with aid or help. PPP leader further added that if the government was serious in the construction of dams, then it should keep dam’s budget in PSDP.

The PPP leader also said, “It is deeply saddening to know that a three-time prime minister was in jail when his spouse passed away in London.” He claimed that it was a very sad incident that former prime minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif is coming out from imprisonment to attend the funeral of his spouse Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
