Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will likely make his first foreign visit as PM of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia next week.
According to reports, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman will hold meetings with Saudi leaders to discuss important matters of mutual interest. The PM will also perform Umrah during this visit.
Earlier, Saudi King Shah Salman had telephoned Imran Khan and invited him for a state visit. The Saudi king said that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to its relation with Pakistan.
“People of Pakistan have put in a great trust in your leadership,” he said, adding that Saudi Arabia wishes for close ties with the new government.
PM Imran Khan further reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the security and protection of the Holy Mosques and also the territorial integrity of the kingdom.
