LHC summon final arguments of Interior Ministry in Ali Musa Gillani’s case

LAHORE- Lahore High Court (LHC) today summoned the final arguments by the Interior Ministry and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in Ali Musa Gilani case.

LHC’s Justice Manzoor Ahmed Malik was hearing the petition regarding removal of Ali Musa Gillani's name from the Exit Control List (ECL). During the hearing lawyer representing Ali Musa Gillani told the court that his client is a respectable Pakistani citizen. He added that the Interior Ministry put his name in the ECL without any strong evidences against him. Defence Counsel pleaded the court to remove his client's name from the ECL. The Prosecutor told the court that the name of Ali Musa Gillani was added as the main culprit in the Ephedrine case. He added that the accused can flee the country if his name is removed from the ECL and will affect the hearing of the case. The court summoned the final arguments by the Interior Ministry and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and adjourned the hearing till 15th May.
