LONDON- Police today recorded a statement of Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain at a police station in central London.
London police then extended MQM chief Altaf Hussain's bail till July 2015 after he was interviewed for more than five hours by the investigating officers.
Altaf was accompanied by Babar Ghauri, Farooq Sattar, other members of the Rabita Committee. Altaf’s legal team also visited the station in relation to a money laundering case registered by the London Metropolitan Police. Altaf Hussain requested Pakistanis to pray for him. During his talk with journalists, he hoped for a victory but avoided to comment on the case. The MQM chief also gave his ‘Salam to all Pakistanis’.
MQM supporters in Karachi distributed sweets after the decision. Previously, Altaf Hussain had urged his followers to stay calm.
