LAHORE - A thirteen-year-old boy was killed during crossfire between two rival groups in Garhi Shahu police precincts on Monday evening.

The boy identified as Yakki Masih sustained a bullet in the head and expired on the spot, police investigators said. The gunmen had fled the crime scene when the police reached the spot. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy.

A police officer claimed that two rival groups exchanged gunfire over property dispute on Allama Iqbal Road on Monday evening. A 13-year-old passerby sustained a bullet in the head and died on the spot. The police have registered a murder case and are investigating with no arrest made yet.

FIGHT: A group of women, said to be relatives, attacked each other with shoes and used abusive language over the recovery of an alleged girl on the Lahore High Court premises on Monday.

Justice James Joseph took up the petition filed by brother of the kidnapped girl, Samina 17, and directed the police concerned to recover and girl by next date of hearing on April 16.

After the hearing, relatives of the abducted girl indulged in heated arguments and started fighting.

However, the security personnel took control of the worsening situation and ejected them from the court’s premises.
