Three-day long colourful Jashan-e-Baharaan celebrations began at Govt Murray College Sialkot here on Monday.
Briefing the newsmen at his office here DCO Nadeem Sarwar said that the celebrations were for the families and only families were allowed to visit and enjoy these festivities.
He added that the three-day festival was named as “Bahaar-e-Aman) “spring of peace”, inviting to come and participate in this festival, by giving the message of peace, tolerance, unity and national harmony to the masses.
The DCO said that different stalls, Lok Mela, Food Corners, Mehfil-e-Mushaira, Folk Music etc would featured to enthral visitors.
He said that the district government expected locals would cooperate with the government to make the event successful.
