The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in order to ensure the maximum youth participation in Pakistan Cup, has decided that each regional team will support a 16-man squad instead of a 15-man squad in the event being played from April 19 to May 1 at Faisalabad. A PCB spokesman Wednesday said that the additional person would be an Under-19 player, who would be included in the playing XI for each team so that every youngster might get the opportunity to exhibit his prowess during the premier national one-day activity and made his way to the national team.

The players, which were included respectively, are right-arm fast bowler Sameen Gul (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), right-arm leg spinner and right-hand middle order batsman Shadab Khan (Federal), left-hand middle order batsman and right-arm leg spinner Salman Fayyaz (Punjab), left-arm spinner Ghulam Haider (Balochistan) and captain U-19 and right-hand batsman and right-arm medium fast bowler Hasan Mohsin (Sindh).
