Rawalpindi - A group painting exhibition by 60 amateur artists kicked off at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) yesterday. Senator Najma Hameed, MNA Tahira Aurangzeb and Additional Commissioner Tariq Mehmood Tariq inaugurated the exhibition. They were flanked by Naheed Manzoor and Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed. More than 200 paintings by 60 young artists have been put on display. The paintings comprised calligraphy, landscape, figurative art, nature, common life and miniature. The medium of the paintings was oil paint, water colour, pencil work and charcoal. The exhibition would continue for visitors till 15th April.

The guests in their addresses lauded the work of all the artists and termed them precious asset of the country.
