SIALKOT/GUJRANWALA  -  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said all the verdicts being given by the Supreme Court against the corrupt rulers were paving way for building a new Pakistan.

Addressing a big public meeting at Daska city’s Fawara Chowk Friday evening, he said, “We are building a new Pakistan with the power of the oppressed people.” Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Arif Ahmed Khawaja, Iftikhar Ahmed Sahi, Brig (r) Aslam Ghumman, Dr John Mehboob and other PTI leaders were also present on this occasion. He saluted the Supreme Court of Pakistan for taking bold decisions. Commenting upon the lifelong disqualification of Nawaz Sharif by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Imran Khan said all such verdicts were paving the way for making it a new Pakistan. He termed Nawaz Sharif’s lifelong ouster from politics a great blessing for the nation.

Imran Khan also vowed to continue PTI’s struggle against corruption and corrupt elements for providing easy and early justice to everyone with the sole aim to bring prosperity everywhere in the country by providing justice to everyone and recovering every penny of the national exchequer from plunderers.

Imran Khan said he was struggling for the poor people of Pakistan and would no longer let the corrupt rulers fool them. He stated the whole Pakistani nation was paying for the mistakes and plunder of the politicians and rulers.

Imran Khan stressed the need to provide justice to everyone and strengthen the national institutions for elimination of corruption, poverty, unemployment, social injustice, national development and progress.

Khan said now it was PTI’s turn to rule the country with the power of votes of the masses. He said only PTI had the political agenda of national prosperity and progress, saying now PTI had become the ray of hope for everyone in the country. He claimed only PTI would rid the country of the corrupt rulers. He said the rulers plundered the national wealth and this practice had made the nation poor. He urged the people to oust all the corrupt rulers from power after Nawaz Sharif. He said the heavy loans borrowed by the corrupt rulers would have to be repaid by the whole nation.

He added many countries made unmatched development by strengthening their national institutions, ensuring provision of justice and promoting good governance. Imran Khan, while referring to the performance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwah and its good governance, said, “Yes, we are building a new Pakistan and even a new KP.”

Earlier, addressing a public gathering at Wazirabad, PTI Chairman Imran Khan pledged provision of speedy justice to everyone in the country, which would pave the way for national progress, prosperity and elimination of poverty as well as unemployment. He said PTI believed in peace and justice. “We have the true path leading to the golden era of the country while others are leading the motherland towards darkness,” he reiterated. He said the nation would get rid of the corrupt rulers after 45 days when the tenure of the PML-N government came to end.

Imran said Nawaz Sharif plundered Rs 300 billion from the national exchequer and transferred this huge money abroad. He claimed PTI would hold the history’s biggest public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore on April 29. He said Nawaz Sharif had ruined the national institutions by posting incompetent and corrupt people in the national institutions.

After Imran Khan’s address in Wazirabad, highly charged PTI workers clashed with one another at the venue as a result of which dozens of workers were injured.

Later, addressing a gathering of the party workers at Sambrial, Imran Khan lashed out at the PML-N government for its poor economic and trade policies. He said Pakistan was in dire need of foreign investment for national development and prosperity, instead of getting loans. He vowed to get back every plundered penny from the corrupt rulers. He urged the people to come forward and oust the incumbent corrupt rulers. Imran Khan also inaugurated wheat crop harvesting near Aziz Chowk, Wazirabad, besides attending the PTI membership campaign at Sambrial and Daska. On this occasion, Imran accused the Punjab government of delaying purchase of wheat.

Meanwhile, addressing the PTI workers in Gujranwala, Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said Nawaz government had destroyed all the institutions. He saluted the SC for giving a historic decision against the former PM.


Staff Reporter from Islamabad adds: Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani on Friday met with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan at the latter’s residence in Bani Gala and both discussed matters related to parliamentary affairs.

A statement issued by the PTI said that Sanjrani thanked Khan for his party’s support in his election as Senate chairman. Both discussed matters related to parliamentary affairs.

Sanjari also apprised Khan of his reforms agenda in the Upper House of Parliament.

Khan supported the reforms agenda of Sanjrani. The PTI chief said that the passage of the bill in the Senate extending the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court and Peshawar High Court to the Federally Administered Tribal Areas was a right step towards a right direction. He said that a permanent solution to the miseries of the people of FATA was the merger of the area with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

PTI leaders Asad Umar, Shafqat Mahmood and others were also present.
