MULTAN-PTI Vice Chairman Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday asked the PML-N to accept the disqualification verdict, saying Nawaz Sharif would face more losses if he does not change his conduct.
Talking to the media here, Qureshi said that he wants to tell those, who are criticising judiciary, that their wanted verdicts could not be delivered. "The PTI accept this verdict. There is a big difference between Bhutto's and today's verdict," he pointed. He warned the PML-N Quaid that more MNAs would quit his party if he continues exhibiting the same behaviour. He asked PML-N leadership to refrain from taking any step which could harm democracy.
He pointed out that the sense of deprivation in South Punjab is mounting with each passing day. "Have a look at distribution of rivers or number of universities in Lahore and South Punjab. You'll locate clear discrimination," he maintained. He said that the experts pointed out that 57 percent of 2016 budget was spent on just Lahore. He said that Shehbaz Sharif granted budget to other cities of Punjab just in papers.
Shah Mehmood claimed that Metro bus project badly failed and empty buses can be seen running on roads. He claimed that all PTI parliamentarians including him were not given even a single rupee for the development of their constituencies.
He disclosed that he had talked to Bizenjo who stressed that South Punjab province is need of the hour. He said that the lawyers, intellectuals, traders and all other residents of South Punjab want a separate province.
To a query, Qureshi said that Jahangir Khan Tarin is a senior and seasoned person and the verdict against him delivered loss to the party "but we had to accept it." He said that the PPP is a big party and it had a golden chance to create Saraiki province when it had both Prime Minister and President in office.
He declared that the PTI is going to hold an historic public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan. "We'll make our manifesto public there. If we win, we'll work for the uplift of people," he declared. The PTI stalwart said that a meeting between Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Khurshid Shah had taken place for caretaker set up but there was no progress so far.
PTI NOT TO ACCEPT GOVT PRESENTED BUDGET
Meanwhile, the PTI vice chairman declared his party would not accept budget presented by the current government, adding that Imran Khan would kick of PTI's election campaign from Minar-e-Pakistan on April 29.
Talking to the media here, he said that the government had just 45 days left in its term and it has no mandate to present budget for one full year. He said that the government could present an interim budget for just four months and the budget for remaining fiscal year should be presented by new government. He claimed that the other opposition parties including MMA, PPP and MQM supported the stance of PTI on budget.
He declared that the PTI would hold an historic public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan on April 29. He said that Ch Nisar and Imran Khan had close relations and they could talk to one another at any time. He said that the opposition parties would sit together and decide the names or caretaker government.
He declared that the PTI had decided to join hands with Janoobi Punjab Sooba Mahaaz and he would meet with the Chairman of Janoobi Punjab Sooba Mahaaz on April 15. He added that the PTI fully supported South Punjab province. He said that the PPP made mockery of masses by raising the slogan of Saraiki province while ruling party hatched conspiracy to divide the residents of South Punjab. He maintained that the PML-N misled the people by raising the issue of restoration of Bahawalpur state.
The former foreign minister was of the opinion that an unsuitable person was nominated as ambassador to US. "There are tensions between US and Russia while our relations with India and Afghanistan are also tense. We need a seasoned diplomat as ambassador in US in current situation," he asserted.
