islamabad - The Ministry of National Health Services (NHS) on Tuesday announced that the vaccination centres in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) will remain closed on Friday instead of Sunday during the month of Ramazan. The notification issued by the ministry referring to the decision of National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) said that the holidays will be observed on Friday instead of Sundays.
The notification said that “as per decision of NCOC, henceforth the COVID-19 vaccination centres will observe Friday as weekly holiday instead of Sunday. As already conveyed all the vaccination centres of ICT, will remain open during the holy month of Ramazan and observe the following timings 12:00 noon to 04.00pm, 08.00 pm to 12.00 (mid-night).”
Meanwhile, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) also issued notification regarding Ramazan timings. The order issued to all Area Education Officers said that all educational institutions working under the ambit of Federal Directorate of Education shall observe following timings during Ramazan. For single shift institution 09:00 am to 12:30 pm (Mon-Sat), while for double shift institutions morning shift will be 09:00 am to 12:30 pm (Mon-Sat) and for evening shift 01:00 pm to 04:00 pm (Mon-Thur & Saturday) while 02:00 pm to 04:00 pm on Friday.
The FDE also notified that that classes of Pre-VIII shall remain off and instead have home-based learning period w.e.f 19-04-2021 and until 28-04-2021. Further course of action in this shall be decided in next review meeting and the same shall be communicated accordingly.
It also said that classes of Class IX to XII shall resume w.e.f 19-04-2021 and students attend their respective institutions in a staggered manner and in strict compliance of already issued SOPs.
