The residents of Bara Kahu have been facing severe problems due to the absence of water since eight days. The local government has not taken any initiative after 1980 by keeping in view the growing population of the rural areas of Capital. Most of the development projects and peculiarly water schemes are still incomplete in several outskirts of the Capital. In Union Council Sohan, no proper arrangement has been made for the supply of water while tube wells have been installed but locals cannot get connection as ban has been imposed on it. The locals of Bara Kahu and Sohan said that despite complaining several times to concerning authorities and administration, neither they heed over the problems of the people, nor took any initiative in this regard. Due to the recent torrential rains Tube Well is out of order, therefore, the inhabitants of both areas are compel to bring water from far flung areas or tankers.
