Two children burnt alive

LAHORE - At least two children died after they suffered burn injuries in different localities of the City on Friday. As per details, an eight-month-old infant burnt alive at Shahzad Road in Kahna area. Police revealed that the deceased Suleman, a resident of Warn No-9, House-04, slipped from the lap of his brother and fell into a boiling drum of milk. As a result of which he sustained multiple burn injuries and was shifted to the Burn Unit of a nearby hospital where he succumbed to wounds. Meanwhile, another eight-year-old child Shahzad, resident of China Scheme, also received burn injuries at his home and was pronounced dead in a local hospital. Police handed the bodies over to their heirs after necessary procedure. Man found dead A 50-year-old devotee of Data Darbar died under mysterious circumstances in Tibi City police precincts on Friday. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Khan, resident of Gujar Khan, Rawalpindi. Police said that some locals spotted a body lying near Texali Chowk. After recovering the body, police knew that the deceased belonged to the said locality. Police phoned to the victims family and informed them about the situation. Later, his body was handed over to the deceaseds heirs after formal medical procedure. Meanwhile, a head constable died under incomprehensible situation at The Mall on Friday. According to police, the deceased was later identified as Mujahid Abbas who was found unconscious at The Mall. He was shifted to hospital where he breathed his last. Later his body was handed over to his heirs after formal legalities.
