3 paramilitary soldiers martyred, 25 injured in rocket attack by militants in North Waziristan

At least three Pakistani paramilitary soldiers were martyred and 25 others injured after unknown militants fired rockets on their camp here in Miranshah on Sunday. According to details four rockets fired by militants from unknown location hit the camp in Miranshah, the tribal headquarter of main North Waziristan Agency (NWA) at the time when troops were preparing for Independence Day Assembly. Sources said that three paramilitary soldiers were martyred on the spot and 25 others were injured in rockets attack. The injured troops were rushed to hospital and according to hospital sources condition of five of wounded soldiers was serious. The security official and local intelligence officials confirmed the attack and the death toll. It should be mentioned that in 2009 sweeping offensive against extremists was launched in South Waziristan Agency (SWA) but many extremists commanders are believed to have fled to NWA.
