AJK PM takes exception to statements by aides

MIRPUR (AJK) - AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed Monday took strong exception to recent statements by his certain party leaders, appeared in a section of the media.
The Prime Minister directed his cabinet colleagues, parliamentary leaders and chiefs of different Municipal Corporations and development authorities across the AJK to abstain issuing such statements in the future.
The PM said that such disinformation and derogatory remarks could harm the reconciliation policy of President Asif Zardari. He said that his government would continue promoting brotherhood, respect for all and political harmony in AJ&K in line with the party’s policy.
Ch Majeed also directed his media team to be careful while releasing news stories to the media. “There should be no personal attack on any political leader including the leader of the opposition and report if any one instigates, adding no such act would be tolerated.
The AJ&K premier stated that the Azad Jammu & Kashmir was the base camp of freedom movement and it cannot afford any kind of political conflict. “Our focus is on freedom movement, complete liberation of Kashmir and its prosperity and development that is why we have evolved strategy to attain our goal by taking the opposition on board on all issues of national interests”, he declared.
The AJK PM maintained that his government always respected the mandate of the opposition which helped get the budget passed unanimously. He resolved that such efforts would be continued to establish political cohesion in the larger interest of the state.
