PML-Q for following in Quaid’s footsteps

LAHORE - Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Shujaat Hussain and Deputy Prime Minister Pervaiz Elahi have called for following in the footsteps of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to bring prosperity.
“The nation should follow the golden principles of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to put the country on the road to real progress,” the PML-Q leaders said in their messages on the Independence Day to be celebrated on Tuesday (today).
“The people of Pakistan should also pledge to shun their regional, sectarian biases and all other differences to transform the country into an Islamic welfare state as envisioned by Muhammad Ali Jinnah.”  They said, “The principle of unity has blessed us with Pakistan and now it is our duty to safeguard and protect this blessing of Almighty Allah and we should work hard for achieving the great objectives of the creation of Pakistan”.
Shujaat and Elahi said that each citizen of the country should play due part in fixing problems confronting the country.  They said it was essential for normalisation of situation in some areas, particularly in Balochistan, so that angry groups could be brought back to the mainstream.
A delegation of newly-elected office-bearers of Lahore Photo Journalists Association, headed its President Iqbal Ch, called on them. Elahi congratulated them on becoming the part of the body representing photo journalists.
