MARDAN - Awami National Party (ANP) Central President Asfandyar Wali Khan on Tuesday came down hard on PTI Chairman Imran Khan for meeting with Americans secretary.

The ANP chief said that Imran had declared him as an American agent on holding meetings with the US officials openly at the Pakhtunkhwa House, Islamabad but now he is secretly meeting with Americans.

He said this while addressing a public meeting at the residence of former chief minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti. Former chief minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, former information minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain, candidate of ANP for PK-23 Haji Ahmed Khan Bahadur, JUI-F District Ameer Maulana Shujaul Mulak, District General Secretary Imran Manduri and others also addressed the gathering.

Asfandyar also rejected the idea of holding a meeting among prime minister, army chief and Imran Khan to search for a solution of militancy in the country. “The Kaptan in the past was shouting about unity among all parties ranks to eliminate terrorism but now his is finding the solution to the menace in the troika meeting,” he said, adding they would not accept any kind of decision made between the two people belonging to Punjab.

He questioned how could this meeting achieve the desired results when there was no representation from Balocishtan and Sindh?

He said when militants attacked the Bannu Jail during ANP government Imran Khan demanded resignation of the provincial government. “Now the PTI KPK government should resign on D.I.Khan Jail’s break-up,” he added.

He said that Imran Khan had played cricket and did not know about politics. He said the PTI chairman made many promises with the people during electioneering but he had ignored all those promises.

He said that Sirajul Haq has no moral courage to resign in protest against the statement of Imran Khan in which he termed MMA government as rubbish.

Asfandyar Wali Khan said that JUI-F and ANP made alliance in the past when the ANP Chief Minister of Balocistan Akhtar Mingal was removed Mufti Mahood who was the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at that time also resigned in protest. “I have asked Maulana Fazlur Rehman that mosque and hujra should join hands to contest bye-election,” he said. He said that the JUI-F chief had accepted his proposal.

He said that PPP had also join this alliance and candidate of three parties would win bye-polls.
