ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the government is committed to eliminating extremism and terrorism from the country and ensuring security of national borders.

The Prime Minister said this in a statement on the eve of 67th Independence Day of the country. A new era of hope and optimism has dawned in the country with the inception of the present democratic government.
