LAHORE - Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar has lauded TheNation Editor-in-Chief Majid Nizami for his lifelong struggle for Pakistan.

Besides paying rich tributes to the veteran journalist-cum-editor, Sarwar said Majid Nizami was not an individual in the field of journalism, rather, he represented a golden era, during which he strived hard to protect ideological borders of the country. He said under the moral code set by Majid Nizami for the media, the Governor prayed that Nawa-i-Waqt, TheNation and Waqt News would continue working for the cause of Islam, democracy and raise voice for the needy sections of the society. The governor said the role played by the veteran journalist for the dissemination of the Two-Nation Theory would be remembered for ever. He said that a book must be compiled to reflect Nizami’s struggle in the filed of journalism that would be a gift not only for mass communication students but also for politicians.
