HAFIZABAD - Prominent local politician and former MNA Ch Mehdi Hassan Bhatti was arrested after he was refused a bail by the SC Lahore Registry. Later he was produced before the judicial magistrate Pindi Bhattian who sent him to Central Jail Gujranwala. The Sukheke Police registered a case against him on the charge of pilfering gas for his CNG filling station in Sukheke Mandi. He had already been refused bail by the Lahore High Court but he managed to escape from the court.
