RAWALPINDI - Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has said that Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif is a big tax evader, revealing two senior officials of the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) are busy  tampering record to save the skin of prime minister.

However, the PTI chief did not public the names of the two FBR officials, saying he would expose them on some proper time. He said that NAB is busy catching small thieves while ignoring big dacoits like Mian Nawaz Sharif.

He also warned the Election Commission of Pakistan to give its verdict over reference filed by PTI on merit or else massive protest demonstrations would be staged outside the commission.  

“The nation and people of Pindi are out for making a new Pakistan and kicking out corrupt people. We will have to make joint efforts to eliminate menace of terrorism from our soil,” he said while addressing the participants of PTI Aitsab Rally at Liaquat Bagh yesterday.

He said that the corruption and bad governance have ruined all institutions of the country and the rally was staged to save the country and its institutions. “The destination of the rally that started from Peshawar is Lahore and I warn PM Nawaz Sharif to present himself for accountability before reaching the rally in provincial capital or else the PM may lose chance of fleeing to Jeddah,” he said.

He questioned as how Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif made assets worth billion of rupees. He said the corrupt PM has pushed the country to verge of destruction. He said that PM is a big tax evader while two of his blue eyed officials in FBR have been busy in tampering the tax record to save his skin.

He said that PTI is the only party which implemented the NAP in its true letter and spirit in KP. He said that police were depoliticised while reforms were brought in seminaries system and education. Imran Khan said that the government has to depoliticise the police if it wants to win war against terror.

He said that the projects like Metro Bus and laptops could not put the country on track of prosperity and happiness. He said that the nation has decided to get rid of corrupt rulers.

Earlier, Imran Khan reached Katcheri Chowk in his vehicle and went on container where PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Mehmood ur Rashid, Sadaqat Abbasi, Aleem Khan, Naheem ul Haq, Ijaz Khan Jazzi and many other PTI workers were present to accord warm welcome to their leader. 

PTI Secretary General Jahangir Tareen and MNA Sarwar Khan reached Rawalpindi from Golra Mor in shape of rally and joined main rally at Committee Chowk.

A fire also broke out at mini truck on which DJ Butt set up sound system. However, Rescue 1122 fire-fighters extinguished the fire. DJ Butt remained busy to save his sound system from water sprayed by fire-fighters.

PTI Chief Imran Khan narrowly escaped from another Lahore-like mishap when he hardly maintained his balance after being pushed by Naheem ul Haq accidently.

Jubilant participants of the rally were wearing caps of the party flag colours, holding party flags and portraits of Imran Khan and chanting slogans in favour of their beloved leader and against N League.

Tight security arrangements were made to guard the rally by police on orders of RPO Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja, CPO Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi and SSP Operations Irfan Tariq.
