KARACHI (APP) - Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister for Inquiries and Anti-Corruption Establishment, Gul Mohammed Lot has described the maintenance of peace without any violence anywhere during Eid-ul-Azha a joint achievement of Sindh and City Governments. Talking to various delegations at his office Saturday, the Advisor said it was for the first time during the last 20 years that no major incident of snatching of hides took place for which officials of Sindh Government, City Government, administration, police and Rangers deserve appreciation. He said that it had been due to the collective wisdom and strategy adopted by Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Mirza, LG Minister Agha Siraj Durrani, City Nazim Mustafa Kamal and coalition parties that peace completelt prevailed in Karachi and elsewhere in Sindh on Eid occasion and no untoward incident took place anywhere. Gul Mohammed Lot also extended felicitations to PPP workers and people all over the country on conferment of UN Aawrd for Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and said it recognises her struggle for restoration of democracy and human rights throughout her life. The Advisor emphasised the need for having greater unity, national cohesion, brotherhood and understanding. The people should give up all differences, stand like an impregnable wall against the enemies and thwart all conspiracies aimed at creating anarchy and lawlessness in the country.
