Since 9/11 tragedy, western high officials and their media have been propagating in the world that the so-called Islamic militants can use Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) inside the US and Europe. By joining west's bandwagon, some Indian fundamentalists have coined a new term of 'Super Terrorism' to blame Pakistani militants for employing chemical, biological and nuclear weapons against India and the US. The main aim is to tarnish the image of our country to win the sympathies of the US-led European countries who are already biased against the Muslims in wake of the War On Terror. In the past few months, solid evidence has surprised the international community in relation to the existence of Hindu terrorism when on April 6, 2008 in the house of Bajrang Dal extremists in Nanded, a bomb exploded. The police seized fake beards, maps and addresses, indicating mosques and houses of the prominent Muslims. The investigation proved that the militants of Bajrang Dal were engaged in bomb-making and were involved in the bomb attack on a mosque in Parbhani in 2003 and blasts in Purna and Jalna in August 2004. The police inquiry also exposed September 29, 2008 bombings of Malegaon city in Maharashtra and Madosa in Gujarat. In this context, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the Maharashtra arrested a serving Lt Col Srikant Purohit and a retired army Major Samir Kulkarniand along with two of the suspects, having close ties with prominent politicians of BJP, VHP, RSS and Bajrang Dal, who are pressurising the Indian government to release the arrested persons. However, ATS disclosed that these army officials helped train the Hindu terrorists and provided them with the military-grade explosive RDX, used in the Malegaon bombings and recent terrorist attacks. ATS further revealed that Lt Col Purohit confessed that in 2007, he was involved in bombing of Samjhauta Express, which burnt alive 68 passengers, most of them Pakistanis. In this connection, BBC pointed out on November 21, 2008 that a new phrase has entered the sometimes cliche-riddled Indian press: "Hindu terrorism," calling it the latest addition to the media lexicon. Nevertheless, all these alarming developments give rise to the question: will Hindu terrorists obtain the weapons of mass destruction? The reply is quite obvious, they would try to get these fatal weapons and will use them in the US and Europe so as to show that Muslim activists have performed this nefarious job. While Hindu fundamentalists with the backing of the Indian intelligence agency, RAW, have already started a sinister strategic game in destabilising Pakistan by supporting separatism in Balochistan and insurgency in FATA - also increasing the apprehension of the west that a plot to attack the homelands of America and Europe can be planned in Pakistan's tribal areas. In this respect, the revival of the Indian blame game and putting pressure on Islamabad regarding Mumbai terror events of November 26 might be cited as an example. As regards the acquisition of WMDs, some Indian army officers, RAW and other officials could already be in cooperation with the Hindu fundamentalist organisations for this purpose. Besides recent arrest of the army officers, notably, more than 2000 Muslims were massacred in the Indian state of Gujarat in 2002 and both Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International had charged the Gujarat state administration for supporting the tragedy. Demolition of the Babri Masjid in 1992 is another instance of this kind. All these events prove that despite tight security, some Indian extremist officials could provide the Hindu terrorists with unconventional weapons. It is of particular attention that in December, 2006, a container packed with radioactive material had been stolen from an Indian fortified research atomic facility near Mumbai. R Peter and D Sagan in the book, Planning the Unthinkable remark that unconventional weapons could serve specific objectives of terrorists for which conventional weapons are less suited. Although these lethal poisons seem to be mysterious, yet could be within the reach of some Hindu terrorists. With the disintegration of the Soviet Union, weapons of mass destruction and their components are easier to acquire. The fears are widespread that unemployed Russian scientists might have provided expertise material about these devices to some sovereign and non-sovereign entities. Besides these sources, Hindu terrorists could also get these destructive weapons from Jews as strong Indo-Israeli lobbies are collectively working particularly in the US against the interests of Muslims by manipulating the war against terrorism. Such chemical and radiological materials could also be smuggled inside India by the Hindu fundamentalists. And they can also buy nuclear devices covertly from the global black market. Nevertheless, Hindu militants of the VHP, RSS, Shiv Sena and Bajrang Dal etc could obtain these fatal weapons through any possible resource. With the help of the Indian army officers and RAW, these Hindu terrorists can overcome the obstacles in the acquisition of the weapons of mass destruction. They could also get or produce 'dirty nuclear bombs' in this context. It is notable that the Bush administration, while focusing attention on the proliferation of these destructive weapons had justified an invasion of Iraq, but no such weapons were discovered in that country. While, western apprehensions are still found that some extremist Muslim militants are in pursuit of WMDs to use them in America and any European country. But the latest events in India, give ample evidence that instead of Muslims, Hindu terrorists could not only obtain weapons of mass destruction secretly, but also use them in the west. Their sole aim might be to provocate Americans against Iran and Syria in general and Pakistan in particular, which is the only Islamic nuclear country, threatening Indian hegemony in the region. Thus they could create a dangerous misperception in which the US could also use small nuclear weapons in Afghanistan and our tribal areas which she considers sanctuaries of Al-Qaeda-related terrorists. And Pakistan could also be asked to rollback its atomic programme. Now, the right hour has come that the US and other major powers must pay full attention to Hindu terrorism in respect of the weapons of mass destruction, if they want to stop a vast catastrophe in the world.
