LAHORE: The students of the Government College University Lahore have donated 150 pints of blood for children suffering from thalassemia at a two-day camp organised jointly by the university’s Blood Donor Society (GCU BDS) and Fatimid Foundation at GCU Abdus Salam Hall.

GCU Vice Chancellor Dr Khaleeq-ur-Rahman on Friday visited the camp and appreciated the efforts of GCU BDS for arranging the camp.

Speaking on the occasion, VC Prof Rahman called on all the students to donate blood and highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation in protecting precious human lives. He also appreciated the donation of blood by the faculty members.–Staff Reporter
