A few weeks ago, various permanent posts were advertised in Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) at Islamabad. I, and numerous friends applied for the posts including Deputy Director and Assistant Director. However, after getting no response when I called to inquiry about the job I was informed that all interviews had already been conducted. Surprisingly neither I nor any of my friends received an interview letter or call. Despite meeting the eligibility criteria we were not called. This is not only clear-cut violation of merit but also makes the entire selection procedure suspicious, as we were not allowed to compete for the jobs. I request to concerned authorities to take serious action on this.
