FR Peshawar clinches Archery C’ship

PESHAWAR - FR Peshawar clinched the trophy after securing 106 points after the three rounds of six targets each on the final day of the first Governor KP All FATA Archery Championship played here at Qayyum Sports Complex on Saturday.
Director Sports FATA Faisal Jamil Shah, Secretary FATA Olympic Association Shahid Khan Shinwari, Secretary FATA Archery Association Manzoor Khan, officials of the Pakistan Archery Federation Salman Khan, Asghar Khan, players and spectators were also present on this occasion.
In the three-day contests of the six rounds each, FR Peshawar team comprising Mudasir Jamil, Fazal Arman and Sahib Jamil recorded excellent targets by securing 106 points, followed by FR Kohat team including Bashir Ahmad, Awal Khan and Shanawaz Khan who secured 61 points and Kurram Agency team led by female archer Sundas Khan with other team members comprising Obaid and Munir got 38 points.
Sundas along with her male teammates hit two bull eyes and got full nine points out of total 38 points.
At the end, the chief guest gave away medals, certificates, cash prizes and trophies to the position holder teams besides individual prizes. A gold medal was also given to Sundas Khan from Khurram Agency who specially participated in the event among her male competitors.
