Eid Miladun Nabi celebrated with fervour in Punjab

FAISALABAD/HAFIZABAD/GUJRANWALA/-MANDI BAHAUDDIN/AHMEDPUR EAST/-SARGODHA/DG KHAN/TT SINGH/KASUR/-NOORPUR THAL/MUZAFFARGARH/-NOWSHERA VIRKAN-Eid Miladun Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (SAWW), was celebrated with religious enthusiasm and fervour amid elaborated security across Punjab province.
In Faisalabad, hundreds of rallies and function were held to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW). Both the divisional and district administration had made elaborated arrangements and security to protect Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW) processions and other events.
DCO Salman Ghani took a detail round of the city and inspected security and administrative arrangements at Gole Masjid Ghulam Muhammadabad, Jhang Bazaar, Darbar Gujjar Peer and other places. The DCO also cut a cake to mark the occasion, at Chowk Clock Tower. Members of Milad Committee Munir Ahmad Nurani, Malik Bakhsh Elahi, Asif Aslam, Waheed Khaliq Ramay, ACs City and Saddr and scores of faithful were present on the occasion.
People had decorated their houses, shops, streets and markets tastefully to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW). Moreover, rallies were taken out and ceremonies were held in which people recited Darood Sharif. Both the public and private buildings were lightened up with colourful lights whereas green flags placed at different chowks.
In Hafizabad, Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW) was celebrated in Hafizabad, Pindi Bhattian, Sukheke Mandi, Kaleke Mandi, Jalalpur Bhattian and other towns of the district with unprecedented reverence and fervour. All roads and thoroughfares gave bridal look and were decorated with multi-colour flags, buntings, arches and images of Khana-e-Ka’aba, Ghumbad-e-Khizra and Masjid-e-Nabvi.
Scores of processions were taken out from different places and the participants paraded main thoroughfares by reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba and Darood-o-Salaam.
Three big processions were taken out from different places which were led by JUP-N Punjab President Barrister Syed Wasimul Hassan Naqvi, Dawat-i-Islami District Ameer Wasim Attari and Sunni Federation President Ghulam Mustafa Sultani. Different social and religious organisations distributed cooked meal, milk and sweets at different places.
In Mandi Bahauddin, Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW) was celebrated across the district with religious fervour. Students and children in villages showed great enthusiasm in marking the birth day of the Holy Prophet (SAWW) and had collected enough money to purchase different kinds of sweets, fruits and cleaned streets marked with lime. They festooned houses and streets with colourful lights and green flags on the occasion. During processions, people distributed sweets and fruits and other food items among the participants of rallies and passersby. No security arrangements were witnessed in the villages. However in Mandi city, Phalia and Malakwal, adequate security measures were adopted to avoid any untoward incident.
In Nowshera Virkan, the hymns of Darood-o-Salaam filled the environment with a mystic zeal as citizens celebrated Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW) with religious fervour across the tehsil.
Holding green flags, the faithful brought out processions and rallies, organised conferences and seminars were sweets and foodstuffs were distributed among the participants.
The main Milad procession was taken out from Jamia Masjid Shumali at 9am which reached Milad-e-Mustafa Chowk after passing through Karyal Road, main Bazaar, and Chowk Maloh Shah.
Tight security arrangements were made to avoid any untoward incident.
In Muzaffargarh, workers of Anjum Marahia Naseerya, Nizam-i-Mustafa Pakistan, Sunni Tehreek and Ahle Sunnat and other organisations took out big rallies to mark Eid Miladun Nabi amid tight security.
The major rally was organised by Anjuman Marahia Naseerya led by Hafiz Muhammad Saleem, Dr Pir Muhammad Sabir from Jatoi and others while more than 100 processions were taken out from different parts of the city. Different religious, social, cultural and educational organisations had organised programmes like Mahafil of Naat Khawani, Seerat conferences and Milad processions to mark the day.
On the occasion, the police and other law enforcement agencies had made foolproof security arrangements.
Toba Tek Singh, Eid Miladun Nabi(SAW) was celebrated all over the district with great religious fervour. Dozens of processions were taken out at Toba, Kamalia, Gojra, Rajana and Pirmahal. At the end, public meetings were held where Ulema urged the people to act upon the teachings of Prophet (SAWW) to resolve all of their problems faced in their lives. Rich people cooked meals and distributed them among the poor all the day. Political leaders also attended rallies and public meetings.
In Ahmedpur East, Jashn-e-Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW) was celebrated in the Sub-division with religious fervour. The day dawned with special prayers for the prosperity of the country in mosques and Imambargahs. More than 21 processions were taken out in Ahmedpur East, Uch Sharif, Chanigoth, Mubarakpur, Kotla Musa Khan, Dera Nawab Sahib and other places. The main procession was taken out from Chowk Munir Shaheed which passed through various bazaars and culminated at Chowk Munir Shaheed where sweets were distributed among the participants by the TMA staff while Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran had arranged meals for the participants.
In Sargodha, the 12th of Rabiul Awal was celebrated with fervour here across the district and hundreds of rallies and processions were taken out to mark the day. The main procession of Eid Miladul Nabi was taken out from Jamia Mosque Hamid Ali Shah. Hundreds of vehicles including tractor-trolleys, trucks, camel and oxen-carts, rickshaws and motorcycles, decorated beautifully, marched in the procession. Well off people distributed different kinds of food, sweet milk and beverages to the participants of the rallies and the poor.
In Gujranwala, Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW) was celebrated with religious zeal and zest across the district. Many processions were taken out and programmes were held in various parts of the district. Main procession was taken out from Sheranwala Bagh which culminated at Chowk Millad Mustafa after Zohar Prayers. All the major building en route the processions were tastefully illuminated with colourful lights. Strict security measures were adopted by the city administration and police to avert any incidents across the district.
In DG Khan, Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW) was celebrated with religious fervour across the district including Kot Chutta and Taunsa Sharif Tehsils. A total of 45 processions were taken out in district. All main roads, streets and places were decorated with colourful lights and flags.
In DG Khan city, the main procession was taken out from Jamia Masjid Block No-3 by the Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran, Pakistan Sunni Tehreek and Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan, Jamaat of Silsila Naqshbandia, Qadira and Soharwardia which concluded at Pakistani Chowk.
Youth Form DG Khan under the lead of chief pattern Sheikh Yasir Mushtaq held annual function of Naat Khwani, Qirat, Naatiya Mushaira and Quiz programme to pay homage to the Holy Prophet (SAWW) at Ghanta Ghar Gool Bagh.
In Kasur, more than 30 processions were taken out and a number of Milad ceremonies were held to mark the birth anniversary of holy Prophet (SAWW). At these gatherings, Ulema delivered lectures in which they threw light on the life of Prophet (SAWW) and urged the participants to follow His noble teachings to be successful in this life and the life after here. Besides, major mosques, buildings and streets in cities and towns were illuminated.
The district police also ensured foolproof security of the mosques and Milad ceremonies in the district.
In Noorpur Thal, Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW) was celebrated with enthusiasm and great reverence.
The main procession was taken out from Jamia Masjid Ghousia which, after passing through different roads, ended at Jamia Masjid Bab-e-Syedan Shah.
Religious scholars Allama Sher Muhammad, Maulana Ismail, Allama Arshad Naveed and Qari Asadullah Khan addressed the participants of the procession. They urged the people to follow the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW).
