First Officer Ali Akram's body identified by fingers

ISLAMABAD: The body of First Officer of PK-661 flight that had accidentally fallen in Havelian last week was identified. 

According to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry on Wednesday, First Officer Ali Akram’s body was identified by his fingers.

PIMS Hospital Administrator in Islamabad, Dr Altaf Hussain Qureshi has requested cooperation from the relatives of the Havelian tragedy victims while foreign experts also inspected the scene as well as the rubble of the unfortunate aircraft.

He has requested the families of the victims to provide them with the dental x-ray of the martyrs. He also requested the medical record history of the victims. The Administrator said, “The DNA identification process wasn’t yet over.”

“So far, all the bodies have been identified with the help of physical evidence,” he added.

On the other hand, three experts each from France and Canada visited the scene of the disaster and inspected the crash site.
