Incidents, lack of medical facilities claim 8 lives

KASUR/SADIQABAD/SHEIKHUPURA-Eight persons including a woman, were killed in different incidents of violence and road accidents here the other day.
Among the six, one died of lack of medical facilities. According to police, a boy was crushed to death by a tractor-trolley in Talwindi. Muhammad Shehzad, 13, was on the way back home on a tractor-trolley after attending a Milad ceremony when he fell off the tractor-trolley and crushed under its wheels.
In Kot Radha Kishan, two elderly persons were crushed to death by a speeding train.
The police said that Muhammad Aziz, 75, along with his nephew Muhammad Tufail, 60, was crossing railway lines near Attari Ajeet Singh when a Sialkot-bound train crushed them to death. The Kot Radha Kishan Police are investigating.
In Pattoki, a man was found dead in Chak 12 area.
According to police, Muhammad Javed, a resident of Rajbah Dhak Chak 12, spotted the tortured dead body of an unidentified man and informed the police. On information, the police rushed to spot and shifted the body for autopsy. The police launched investigation.
In Sadiqabad, a minority boy succumbed to his injuries at THQ Hospital as he was not shifted to RY Khan due to absence of ambulance. According to Rescue 1122, 16-year-old Ram Ji sustained critical injuries after being hit by a tractor-trolley in Ahmedpur Lamma. On information, the Rescue 1122 shifted him to the THQ Hospital where doctors referred him to RY Khan. But due to absence of ambulance in the hospital, he could not be shifted to the city and died in the hospital. His family members staged protest against the hospital administration and demanded the government to take action against those responsible for the death of their beloved one.
On the other hand, two persons were killed in collision between two motorcycles on Chand Rami Road.
According to Rescue 1122, 40-year-old Nisar, a resident of Chak 175/P was on the way to RY Khan on a motorbike. As soon as he reached near Adam Sahaba Railway Station, a motorcyclist Ali Raza collided with his motorbike head-on. Resultantly, both sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.
In Chak 146/P, a man was found dead near a roadside. Some passersby spotted the dead body of a 55-year-old man and informed the Rescue 1122 but despite the lapse of many hours, the rescue officials did not reached the spot. Finally, residents of the area shifted the body to THQ Hospital on self-help basis.
The deceased has been identified as Manzoor Hussain, son of Sadiq and a resident of Post Office Charo Kartal.
In Sheikhupura, a woman identified as Shabna Irfan, resident of Bhikhi Road, committed suicide reportedly over her poor financial conditions here on Tuesday.
According to police, the woman was demanding money from her husband to purchase new school uniform for her children. But the man, a labourer paid little heed to his wife demand due to financial constrains. Fed up with the poverty, the woman committed suicide by hanging herself from a fan in her house. The A Division Police have started investigation into the incident. In another incident, a 13-year-old boy lost life in a road accident on Lahore Road.
Talib was sitting on the mudguard of a tractor. In the meanwhile, a speedy truck hit the tractor from the rear. Resultantly, the boy died on the spot while the tractor driver suffered serious injuries and rushed to DHQ hospital. The truck driver escaped the scene while the police have started investigation.
