RAWALPINDI - The division bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday rejected bail plea of owner of an illegal housing society involved in storming along with armed goons into the premises of judicial complex and clashing with opponents. After the rejection of the bail plea, Asim Aziz, the owner of illegal Abdullah City, was arrested from the courtroom by the officials of Police Station, Civil Lines. A division bench of LHC comprising Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan and Justice Shahid Mehmood Abbasi conducted hearing in the bail plea filed by Asim Aziz through his lawyer. The defence lawyer argued before the court that his client is innocent and has nothing to do with the case. He added that his opponents had launched attack against him inside the court premises. Opposing the arguments of defence lawyer, the prosecution said it was proved that Asim Aziz along with his armed goons stormed into court premises and thrashed opponents.
After completion of arguments of both parties, the division bench of LHC rejected bail petition of accused and ordered police to arrest him.
