Rawalpindi mega projects to be completed during PM Khan’s tenure: Sh Rashid

Rawalpindi   -  Federal Minister of Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that the mega projects including Mother Child Hospital, Leh Expressway and Ring Road to be completed during the tenure of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“The cost of Mother Child Hospital is Rs 6.25 billion while Leh Expressway will be completed by spending Rs 150 billion,” he added.

The federal minister expressed these views while talking to media persons after paying a visit to Mother Child Hospital to review the work progress.

He was flanked by Parliamentary Secretary Sheikh Rashid Shafique on the occasion.

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed    said that a case regarding construction of a school is pending in the court and the matter will be taken up by the court on December 16. He said PM Imran paid a special heed towards Rawalpindi and launched scores of development projects to facilitate the masses.

He said that talks could only be held with those who gathered under the flag of Pakistan and to accept the constitution of the motherland. He said he would make public yearly performance report of the Ministry of Interior today (December 14), adding that introducing online visa service had curbed the corruption. He said the government has approved more 509 new recruitments in the Federal Investigation Agency while 2000 cops would also be employed in Islamabad police.

He rejected reports claiming that he suffered a heart attack. He said he is fit and had not suffered cardiac arrest.
