Four people have been killed when an avalanche rolled down on Lowari tunnel in district Chitral whereas work underway in Lowari tunnel has been stopped due to heavy snowfall. According to police sources, four workers have been killed when an avalanche hit the Lowari tunnel. One body has been found and rescue operation is underway for the recovery of remaining bodies. Heavy snowfall has blocked the roads and disrupts the power and communication systems in the area.
