KARACHI – Six more people fall prey to violence here on Wednesday.
An activist of Muttahida Qaumi Movement sitting at his shop located at Jauhar Mor within the remits of Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station.
Police said that Anwar Abbas was running his mobile phone shop at Jauhar Mor where gunmen riding a motorbike reached and shot him dead. He was taken to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead and handed the body over to the family after autopsy.
One killed and two others were wounded by the firing of unknown gunmen at New Sabzi Mandi, Super Highway within the jurisdictions of Sohrab Goth police station.
Police said that deceased were identified as Tai Jan alias Sharbat Khan, son of Masood Jan, while Abdul Majeed, Gul Muhammad were wounded when unidentified culprits riding a motorbike started indiscriminate firing on them. Resultantly victims sustained multiple bullet injuries who were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced Tai Jan’s death while admitted Majeed and Gul Muhammad for medical treatment. Police suspected that the motive behind the incident was personal dispute.
Two friends were shot dead at Super Highway within the jurisdiction of Sachal police station.
Police said that the victims Abdul Majeed, 27, and Bakhtiyar were sitting at a sand stand when some unidentified armed men riding a motorbike sprayed bullets on them and managed to flee. Both the victims succumbed to their injuries during treatment at ASH. The bodied were handed over to their heirs after medicolegal formalities. The motive behind the incident has yet to be ascertained.
A bullet-riddled body of a man was found near garbage within the limits of Kharadar police station.
Police said that the deceased identified as Anwar, 22, was found dead. Police said that unidentified culprits kidnapped the victim and later dumped his body at the said place after shooting him multiple times. The body handed over to his family after autopsy at Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK). Police said the victim was a price bond seller and the motive behind his killing has yet to be ascertained.
Another bullet-riddled body of a man was found from Mirza Adam Khan Road within the remits of Chakiwara police station.
Police said that victim Noman, 27, resident of Behaar Colony, was kidnapped from somewhere by unidentified culprits. Police said unidentified culprits shot him dead and later threw his body at the said place. The body was shifted to CHK for postmortem and later handed over to his relatives. Police said that Noman belonged to gang war. 
A KMC contractor was gunned down in block-J within the remits of Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan police station.
Police said that victim Abdul Sattar was going somewhere on his car on late Tuesday night when some unidentified armed riders intercepted his vehicle and resorted to indiscriminate firing. He sustained multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot. The victim was shifted to ASH for autopsy and later handed over to heirs.
