Bilawal urges MPs-public contacts

LAHORE - PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has stressed his party lawmakers and workers to maintain close contact with the masses to win their whole-hearted support for ensuring success of the party in the upcoming general elections, says a press release.
Presiding over a joint meeting of parliamentarians and Sargodha division office bearers at Bilawal House, Wednesday, the PPP chairman said the PPP history was replete with the supreme sacrifices rendered by its leadership for strengthening democratic system and restoring socio-economic and political rights of the deprived masses.
Bilawal said PPP would never allow any attempt aimed at sabotaging democratic process in the country. Those who were conspiring for the postponement of elections would never succeed in their nefarious designs because the politically conscious people fully recognised them.
The PPP chairman reiterated that the elections would be held on time and there was no question of their delay under any circumstances. He said the President Asif Ali Zardari was doing his utmost to promote politics of reconciliation and harmony in keeping with the vision of Quiad-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Au Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Those who attended the meeting included senior vice chairman PPP and former pm Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani, MNAs Faryal Talpur and Jhangir Badr, PPP Central Punjab President and Federal Minister Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Imtiaz Safdar Warriach, MPAs belonging to Sargodha division Ijaz Ahmed Kahlon, Tahir Naveed, Aslain Bhadiyana, Ijaz Shahani, Mian Javed, Abdul Hameed Awan, Shokat Parvaiz Niazi and Rana Munawar Ghous.
