QUETTA – A man was shot dead in Quetta and a body was recovered from Kech district on Wednesday while two brothers were kidnapped from Pasni, a coastal town of Balochistan.

According to police, a man was killed when unidentified gunmen went on a shooting spree in Gulabad area of Quetta. Ghulam Sarwar sustained bullet wounds and died instantly. The gunmen managed to flee from the scene, however. A police party rushed to the site and moved the body to a hospital. The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.

In another incident, a body was found dumped in Mand area of Kech district. The victim was identified as Noor Muhammad. Sources said Noor Muhammad and Abdul Wahab were abducted from Mand area a few days back. The body was shifted to a hospital by local administration and later handed over to the heirs. The sources said Abdul Wahab was still missing.

Unidentified kidnappers took captive two brothers from Pasni. Sources said Allah Bakhsh and Khuda Bakhsh were kidnapped from Pasni’s Ward No 5 by unidentified armed men while they were heading somewhere.

Meanwhile, unidentified armed men attacked a security checkpost with heavy weapons in Barg Chamalang area of Kohlu. However, no loss was reported in the attack. The attackers fled after security personnel resorted to retaliatory firing.
