LAHORE – A mother of three children was found brutally murdered at her residence in the Harbanspura police precincts on Wednesday. The police have detained the husband of the deceased and are grilling him in connection with the killing.

The woman, identified as Shazia Bibi, 30, was lying dead in a pool of blood in the bedroom of her house located in Fateh Garh area in the jurisdiction of Harbanspura police vicinity as the police reached the spot.

According to the police, the children of were sleeping in the room when unidentified killer (s) murdered her in the adjacent room in the absence of her husband, Munir Ahmed. The husband told the police that he was at work when unidentified men slaughtered his wife with a sharp-edge weapon.

Police investigators said that the woman was repeatedly stabbed to death and there were severely torture marks on the body parts, indicating that the deceased had offered strong resistance against the assault.

Brother of the deceased told the police that Munir Ahmed murdered Shazia on the suspicion of having illicit relations with someone. The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy. The investigators are interrogating the accused in connection with the murder of his wife. Further investigations were underway.

Suicide: A 30-year-old youth committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills in the Shahdara Town police area on Wednesday.

The family told the police that unemployed Muhammad Amjad was up set for the last several weeks. On the day of incident, he exchanged harsh words with his family and later consumed poisonous pills.

 He was rushed to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
