KARACHI - Pakistan Customs Drug Enforcement Cell has foiled the smuggling bid of 4.5kg heroin abroad from Jinnah International Airport.

According to details, the Customs Drug Enforcement Cell’s staff posted at International Departure Hall, Jinnah International Airport Karachi recovered and seized 4.5kg heroin powder which was concealed in cavities behind the covers of two toilets of the aircraft bound for London via Lahore as flight No PK-787.

Consequent upon recovery and seizure of contraband heroin, prosecution case under Control of Narcotics Substances Act 1997 has been registered. Efforts are afoot to apprehend the mafia involved in the offence.
