ISLAMABAD - Rawalpindi thrashed Karachi Whites by an innings and 23 runs on the second day of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Super Eight second round match here  Wednesday. Kaarchi was bowled out for 200 runs in their second innings in 43 overs with Shahzaib Hasan scoring 81, Saeed Bin Nasir 29, Khalid Latif 27 and Ahmed Iqbal unbeaten 20. Hammad Azam destroyed Karachi batting with seven wickets for 46 while Sohail Tanveer took 2-68.  Earlier, Rawalpindi resumed their first innings at the overnight total of 253 for the loss of eight wickets in 59 overs and were all out for 292 in 68.2 overs. Jamal Anwar made 39. Abdul Ameer grabbed 8-98 and Atif Maqbool 2-115. In another Group A match between Islamabad and Sialkot at Diamond Cricket Ground, Sialkot made 215 for the loss of five wickets in 70.3 overs. Test discard former skipper Shoaib Malik was unbeaten at 94 smashing 11 fours, Shakeel Ansar 34 and Faisal Rasheed 29 runs. Zohaib Ahmed took 2-40.  Earlier, Islamabad resumed their first innings at the overnight total of 259-5 in 83 overs and were all out for 303 in 101.3 overs. Raheel Majeed smashed 115 and Ali Sarfraz 97. Faisal Rasheed clinched 5-71 and Hafiz Majid 2-4.
