Influential landlords chopped the nose of a labourer’s daughter over a matrimonial dispute here in the remit of Bahawalnagar Saddr Police on Thursday.
According to details, Jamshed Arian and Nadeem Arian, residents of Basti Sherwali along with five other accomplices stormed into the house of a labourer namely Bashir. The accused inflicted severe torture on 20-year-old Fareeda Bibi, daughter of Bashir and chopped her nose. Later they managed to escape by taking her chopped off nose with them.
It has been learnt that the incident occurred following the family refusal to get Fareeda marred with a son of the accused. The accused already attempted to abduct the girl some while back, however, the matter was settled later. However, the Saddr Police registered a case 55/14, under Section 459/324 against seven accused on the complaint of the victim girl.
