ISLAMABAD- Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected the petition filed against government negotiations team for holding talks with Taliban.

The petition was filed by Shahid Orakzai. He had taken plea in the petition that the elected representatives of public had not been made part of the government negotiations team formed for talks with Taliban. All the members of the negotiating team were made respondents in the petition.


A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Noor ul Haq Qureshi had reserved the judgment.

The court declared the petition non maintainable and dismissed it.
