The bandits rampaged through the district, looting cash, gold ornaments and other valuable worth hundreds of thousands of rupees and injured a factory owner on resistance.

1A factory owner was deprived of cash and other valuables worth Rs0.5 million and was critical injured on resistance here on Thursday.

According to details, Rizwan Haider was on the way to Lahore in a car. In the meanwhile, he was intercepted by three unknown highwaymen near Khanpur canal. The outlaws snatched cash and other valuables from him and tortured him critically when he attempted to put up resistance. Later he was shifted to hospital. The Factory Area Police are looking into the mater.

In village Kelay, two unidentified dacoits barged into a shop owned by Akram and held him at gunpoint. The intruders collected cash and valuables and fled away. The Farooqabad Saddr Police started investigation into the incident.

In Narang Mandi, two robbers intercepted one Ehsan and snatched cash and a bike from him. In Muridke, four veiled dacoits barged into the house of one Mubashar and made off with cash and jewellery worth more than Rs250,000.
