The World Cup kicks off today with the first match between the host team Australia and their arch rivals, England. The second match is between the surprising favourites New Zealand and the ever-consistent Sri Lanka. These matches however, are not what we are waiting for. We are waiting for a post-Valentine's day present the Pakistani team can give us by winning against former World Cup champions, India. The stage is set and tensions are high. Everyone can feel the heat. The anticipation is driving the nation crazy. But in all of this grim anxiety, there is one cricketer who is providing constant comic relief. I am talking about the latest inclusion to our team due to Mohammad Hafeez’s injury – none other than Nasir Jamshed. His followers on twitter have suddenly swelled up and his tweets have become the talk of the town. Admittedly, people are unsure about whether to laugh at the content of the tweets or the absolute lack of grammar used. It's a little bit like having our very own Meera in the cricketing world. Whatever it is, it's hilarious and we are secretly grateful for it. For people who have not come across the tweets as yet, here is an example: ‘It not my fault anyway. Last few month I been sitting home doing little scratch on bum. Then I get sudden 999 call, "Hey come win WC for us"’. There are a series of such tweets if you feel like getting your mind off the upcoming match @NasirJamshed on Twitter. Let's hope for the best on Sunday. Good luck team Pakistan. #Letsmakehistory #Wewilltakeitback
