KARACHI – Lions Clubs International will continue its efforts for the cure of reversible blindness by organizing eye camps, cataract surgeries, cornea grafting, and diabetes screening camps.

These thoughts were shared by MCC Lion Raza Ali at the MJF honoring Ceremony to commemorate the birth anniversary of the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones held on Sunday.

The ceremony was organised to honour the lion members who have significantly contributed towards the cause of humanitarian service and have become the Melvin Jones Fellow.

Event Chairman, Lion Noman Arshad said that lions clubs have maintained its tradition of recognizing members who have generously contributed towards the cause of serving humanity. At the event, District Governors Lion Samina Sikandar, Lion Ayesha Malik, and Lion Tasneem Ahmed also emphasized the importance of humanitarian assistance for social development of the nation.

The event was attended by lion dignitaries in large number including past council chairmen, past district governors, club members and social elites.
