PPP senator paid glowing tribute

MULTAN - Hundreds of people including the PPP workers participated in Chehlum of late senator Malik Salahuddin Dogar here on Sunday.
Former federal minister Allama Mazhar Saeed Kazmi led the prayers and prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi paid tribute to late senator Salahuddin Dogar and also threw light on some important aspects of the leader’s life. The chehlam was attended by MNA Syed Musa Ali Gilani, MPAs Usman Bhutti, Ahmed Hassan Dehrr, Dr Akhtar Malik, Nazim Shah, PM’s media-coordinator Khawaja Rizwan Aalam, Ashique Shajra, Sikandar Bossan, Khursheed Khan, Dr Javed Siddique, Liaquat Dogar, Jalaluddin Roomi and others.
DRY WEATHER FORECAST: The local Met office has forecast cold and dry weather with chances of mist in the morning for the city and its suburbs during the next 24 hours.
On Sunday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded as 21.5 and 8.4 degrees centigrade, respectively. Humidity was recorded 93 per cent at 8am and 41 per cent at 5pm.
HOUSE LOOTED: Robbers looted cash and mobile phones from a house in the limits of Mumtazabad police station. According to police, three dacoits entered the house of Irshad resident of Mumtazabad and held the family hostage at gun point.
The outlaws looted cash and two mobile phones from the house and decamped.
A case has been registered.
Investigation was under way.
