KASUR - Hundreds of people on Sunday staged protests and sit-ins and blocked roads by burning tyres across the district in protest against the Quetta carnage that left over 100 innocent people dead.

In Pattoki, led by Madrasa Sulman Farsi Principal Allama Abdul Razaq Alvi, over 300 people staged a protest demonstration and took out a rally. The rally started from the Madrasa and concluded at Bhatti Chowk Bypass on Multan Road. The protesters blocked the road by burning tyres and threw traffic out of gear for about three hours.

Another rally that was led by Syed Imran Shah of Imambargah Hussainia near Grain Market joined the Alvi rally on Multan Road.

The protesters expressed solidarity with the bereaved families of the bombing victims. Later on assurance of the local administration, the protesters dispersed peacefully.

In Kasur city, about 200 people led by Syed Ali Aqdas Shamsi, staged a sit-in at Adda Luliani and blocked traffic on various link roads to vent off angry against the worst terrorism in Quetta.
