PESHAWAR  - The weather of Malakand and Hazara divisions turned colder as the areas received light rains during the last 24 hours, making the residents wear additional warm clothes to avoid cold.

According to Meteorological Office here Sunday, Kohistan district headquarters Patttan has received maximum 30mm rain followed by Dir 26mm and Muzaffarabad 18mm in last 24 hours. Similarly, Balakot has received 16mm, Garidupatta 14, Parachinar 10, Murree 08, Gupis 07, Rawalakot 06, Drosh, Saidusharif 05, Kakul 04, Mirkhani, Islamabad & Kotli 02, Mangla 01 mm. Snowfall: Malamjabba 10 inch, Skardu 08 inch, Chitral 05 inch, Kalam 02 inch respectively during the said period.                          

Also, isolated rain with snow over hills occurred in Malakand, Hazara, Islamabad/ Rawalpindi divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country whereas a shallow trough of westerly wave is also prevailing over northern areas of the country.

In the next 24 hours, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, mostly partly cloudy conditions with chances of light rain-snowfall at one or two places of Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.   Skardu with -12C and Parachinar -10C remained the coldest places of Pakistan followed by Astore -08C, Gupis, Drosh, Quetta & Hunza -07C, Kallat & Chitral -06C, Dalbandin, Dir & Mirkhani -05C respectively during last 24 hours.

INP reports: An injured person of Charsadda ANP rally blast succumbed to his wounds in Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar in the wee hours of Sunday while 12 others were under treatment.

It is worth mentioning here that at least 14 persons including MPA Shakeel Umerzai and ANP ex-MPA Bashir Umerzai were injured when a powerful bomb ripped through their convoy while it was heading toward court in Umerzai area of Charsadda on Saturday.

The injured were shifted to LRH where an injured with serious wounds admitted in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) succumbed to his wounds.

DC Charsadda, Zafar Ali Shah also visited LRH to inquire about the health of the injured of the blast. Speaking on the occasion he said that it was remote controlled blast followed by hand grenades attack.
